“…we do a really big disservice to ourselves when, before we even say yes, or before we can even get started, we make ourselves small, and we put the people around us on a pedestal, and we buy into this belief that says, “I don't know what I'm doing and everybody else does.” When we do that, we create this weird power dynamic, this weird hierarchy that only creates distance between ourselves and the people around us.
In the context of photography, that dynamic does not work. It does not lend itself to making pictures that feel real or human, and it doesn't result in photographs that connect to other people.”
Dear Listener,
